Our company was founded in 1923 when great-grandfather Jakob Binkele set up the "Immergrün"
(Evergreen) guesthouse in this up-and-coming thermal spa town. At the time the springs had been
flowing for twelve years and spa guests came in their droves. Back then full board cost four and a
half marks. After the war grandmother Olga Binkele joined the company.
A further guesthouse was built on the site during the 1950s. At the start of the 1960s the
daughter, Gertrud Gronbach-Beck, became involved in the company. She manages the house with great
enthusiasm and regularly invests in building projects and modernizing the guest rooms. At the end of
the 1980s parking spaces and garages were built and the outdoor areas redesigned; ten years after
this the wine tavern was set up and the lobby and restaurant refitted.
The name "Atrium Hotel Daheim" ("daheim" means "at home") sums up the Gronbach-Beck
family’s approach. “A home for on the road,” is the
philosophy of the house. The Atrium Hotel Baden has been a member
of the AKZENT hotel cooperation since 2006, member of DEHOGA since 35 years, recommended by 50plus
since 8 years, registered with "Schlemmen und Schlummern", listed in the ARAL- and Shell-maps and in
listed with the VARTA-guide and a 3-star-rating.
The
house was fully remodelled and modernised in 2007.
In a third construction phase the main building and outbuildings will be connected via a
multi-storey atrium, and a spa area will be installed. We already hold the building permit.
The house will remain closed during the construction work. This means that when you book with us,
you will be able to enjoy your holiday in complete peace and quiet!
